Of course this story is mainly made on purpose of entertainment but some professional-thinking individual think this story can make people realize of their worship to the god. Biblical Doomsday Evidence
Revelations 14:9-11And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
The bible gives one many insights into possible forthcoming of Doomsday which, according to the bible, is supposed to occur after rapture and judgment. Bible researchers predict this time based on scripture to be in 2012. More specifically, the forth coming of Jesus is in May of 2011 where the bible portrays and image of ascendancy of pure chosen individuals into the gates of heaven while sinners with the mark of the beast (devil) will remain on physical earth to receive Judgment on December 21, 2012. Recent research by Harold Camping has shown that the December 21, 2012 date may not be completely accurate. According to his new book “We are almost there”, Judgment will occur in October 2011. Revelations also shows us an insight on how God’s wrath will be applied to this Earth.
Revelations 16:8-11, 17-18
And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Revelations depicts an angry God that will employ the aid of angles to strike down on the earth will great fury. Many Biblical scholars believe that rather than death by water as seen in the story of Noah’s ark, this Doomsday will be collection of disasters; most notably death by fire. In reading this scripture, one may infer that God or Jesus, the son of God will come forth with angels from heaven, blanket the earth by fire, darken the skies, boil all water, and plague the earth with great earthquakes and natural disasters. On a positive note, the bible also seeds the idea that not all of mankind will experience this disaster. The individuals that have not repented for their sins are the ones which will experience judgment while others will ascend to the kingdom of heaven. We see this in Thessalonians.
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord.
We also see evidence in the OLD TESTAMENT with Isaiah describing the events of Tribulation.
Isaiah 13: 9-13
Behold the day of the Lord cometh cruel both with wrath and fierce anger to lay the Land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of Heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the Sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the Moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the World for their evil and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the Terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man the Golden Wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the Heavens, and the Earth shall remove out of her place.
Likewise, Tribulation is also mentioned by St. Matthew but in a context that there is no hope. St. Matthew’s account portrays an image that one can not save oneself nor god to save oneself. The Earth will be devoid of all mankind and only “father” will exist. Here is the actual scripture.
Matthew 24: 21-22; 29, 36
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the Angels of Heaven, but my Father only
Another area that I will soon be discussion as I find more research is the counter arguments for Biblical doomsday. Some critics believe that the bible is being misinterpreted in several ways. Some of the major ideas of misinterpretation is the idea of the “coming of the new age”. Many Biblical researchers believe that the Second Coming of Christ coincides with the change of the Age of Pieces to the Age of Aquarius. If we apply what the bible shows us about Christ’s second coming, Doomsday will coincide with the the Age of Aquarius. But this is not a widely accepted theory where many believe that the world will not end with the Age of Aquarius (2012), yet rather simply move on to a new age. A shift from Pieces (the fish symbol) to Aquarius (water bearer), generally referenced during Passover in the book of Luke.
Many Doomsday theorist do not believe in a passive change in Age, yet rather interpret the following scripture as evidence for doomsday:

Here is an excerpt from my upcoming PUBLICATION regarding the major doomsday theories and counter-doomsday theories. I will be releasingPublication 2008 very soon. The excerpt below is a debunking of Asteroid theories set forth by many theorist. Their theory that particular asteroids are a CLEAR threat to the well-being of the human race contradicts recent data. Many sites have been reporting on the recent data by the Center for Astrophysics at Harvard, which gives one the idea that the Asteroid Toutatis is going to be close enough to Earth to cause some global catastrophe on December 12, 2012. Even though I would like to believe this and report it as possible doomsday evidence, I remain objective and examined the data myself. According to the data (which can be found here: (Center for Astrophysics at Harvard), on December 12, 2012 the Asteroid Toutatis will be 0.04633 A.U. away from Earth. Oh my! Only 0.04633 AU! (sarcasm) That seems like such a small number so it must be the doomsday the asteroid. These other sites and doomsday theorists really believe you are unintelligent individuals and use that to feed you false information. We do things differently here at DDIG where we know you are capable and intelligent individuals that deserve non-bias factual information. So back to the information at hand… you might be asking yourself what is an AU? 1 A.U. is the average distance between the center of mass of the Earth and the center of mass of the Sun which comes out to be approximately, 92,955,807 miles or 1.496×10^11meters. Now we can use simple dimensional analysis to see actually how far the Asteroid is from the Earth.
0.04633 AU x 92955807 mi = 4,306,642 Mi away from the Earth.

So the Asteroid will be 4.3 x 10^6 mi away from the Earth… is that close? Lets put that in perspective by comparing that to Earth-Moon average distance. The Earth-Moon distance is 238,900 miles apart, meaning that the asteroid will be 18X the distance of the Earth to the Moon. In my opinion, thats not close enough to classify it as a Doomsday possibility… its even stretching it to call it a “close encounter”
Here is a LINK to the article which presents the information as if the Asteroid is going to impact (“cross”) the Earth. This is the source of my frustration towards data manipulating authors.
Beyond that point, lets examine other NEO’s (near-Earth objects). Based on the Center for Astrophysics at Harvard, the data suggests that there are at least 3 known NEO’s < 0.001 AU. The objects are identified by WN5, SB45, and Apophis will be in the Earth’s proximity June 2028, October 2037 and April 2027, respectively. WN5 and SB45 have distances around 0.0015 AU which gives them a distance of around 130,000 miles away from Earth. To put that in prospective, thats half the distance between the Earth and the Moon. Apophis has a distance of an 0.0002318 AU which coverts to 21547 miles away from the Earth! 21,547 miles is REALLY REALLY CLOSE. Could this be our Doomsday asteroid? Ill further examine dates in the Bible to make connections between Aprophis and the fire-filled Earth Biblical prophecies.
I HAVE NO RIGHT TO CRITICIZE ANY EVIDENCE MENTIONED FROM THESE TWO RELIGION, BUT YOU HAVE TO ADMIT ALL THE EVIDENCES ARE TOTALLY PROVEN RIGHT AND IT IS HAPPENING. BTW, ARE YOU PREPARED ENOUGH TO FACE THE UPCOMING DISASTERS? TRY TO IGNORE THE DOOMSDAY WILL HAPPEN IN 2012 BUT THINK THAT IT'LL HAPPEN ANYTIME. AND SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED 100% BECAUSE NOT 110% ACCURATE.
